Meet The Pack
Meet Gila & Nicole
The mother-daughter duo behind the brand
Often known as the “crazy dog lady,” Gila brings deep passion and lived experience to Pawp Water. With over 20 years of hands-on rescue work, including fostering, more than 7 years running an in-home dog boarding business, and hundreds of dogs rehomed along the way, Gila has spent decades learning what a truly happy, healthy dog looks like.
Gila is also the proud mom to her “foster fail,” Chloe — the dog who inspired Pawp.
After a costly vet visit revealed that Chloe needed probiotic and electrolyte support for chronic gut issues, Gila explored countless options, but Chloe refused them all. Most options were flavored, not water-soluble, or immediately noticeable in her bowl. Simply put, they weren’t an easy solution. They were messy and inconvenient. cumbersome.
Around the same time, Gila herself was diagnosed with Celiac disease, forcing her to take a deeper look at her own health.
As she began healing her gut and integrating simple, daily beverage support into her routine, a clear parallel emerged: the same functional, accessible solutions available to humans were missing entirely in the pet space.
That realization became the foundation for Pawp Water: a brand born at the intersection of science, compassion, and lived experience, bridging Gila’s personal health journey, lifelong dedication to animal welfare, and unconditional love for Chloe and all dogs.
With a background in public relations and brand strategy, Nicole brings the storytelling and execution that help turn purpose into impact. After years of working with founders and brands across beauty, wellness, fashion, and lifestyle, she developed a deep understanding of how meaningful products are built, positioned, and brought to market with intention.
When Gila first shared the idea for Pawp, Nicole recognized its potential immediately. She grew up surrounded by her mom’s lifelong love of dogs, and while she may have once rolled her eyes at the “crazy dog lady” energy, this time was different. Nicole saw the opportunity through a brand-building lens.
Today, Nicole leads Pawp’s brand, communications, and growth, helping bring human-level wellness to the pet space.
